I understand you care about your own privacy and so I will try my hardest to safeguard it. I mean, you must be serious if you’re reading this page.
Basically what this document is saying is that I do collect information from you, but won’t use it for purposes that you don’t intend me to use it (with the exception of if the police come knocking on my door asking for your information with a warrant). I’ll use it to see what articles are most popular, so I can produce more of that topic, and I’ll email you if you want me to.

Information I collect automatically
I, through some pretty awesome software, collect information about how you use my site (this can be through using cookies). If you came here through Pinterest or through asking Google a question I can see this. This allows me to see if a post is doing well, so I can produce more content of that type, which is more likely to be relevant to you.
In saying that, all I can see is that a person visited my site through such channels. I don’t know any other information about you until…
Information I collect on request
I can collect the following information (this is not an exhaustive list): your email address, name, address, phone number and age. Your age is so that I don’t collect information of someone who is underage. You may choose to give me more information about yourself (i.e. ask me a question), which I may share anonymously (i.e. I may include your question in a blog post) or not at your request.
Payments made will be done via PayPal or some other third party, which is secure.
When I collect such information
If you do one of the following I will collect your information (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Email me,
- Order a product from me,
- Complete a survey,
- Other circumstances where it is reasonable to collect personal information, as permitted by New Zealand Law.
‘… a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing. Cookies were designed to be a reliable mechanism for websites to remember stateful information (such as items added in the shopping cart in an online store) or to record the user’s browsing activity (including clicking particular buttons, logging in, or recording which pages were visited in the past). They can also be used to remember arbitrary pieces of information that the user previously entered into form fields such as names, addresses, passwords, and credit card numbers.’
How I manage personal information
Information like was listed above will be stored in a secure fashion until it is no longer needed. I reserve the right to keep any correspondence, as reference for future questions, indefinitely. Your address, should you choose to purchase something from this website, will be removed from my accounts after an appropriate amount of time has elapsed.
How your information will be used
I will use your information the way you intend me to use it. If you bought a product I will deliver via the appropriate channels. If you desire email updates I will provide these. This is not an exhaustive list.
Sharing your information
I will as a general rule not share your personal information unless you allow it or if the law demands it. If I should in future hire employees then they will have access to your personal information, but they will be considered to be ‘me’. We will be working as ‘Kiwi Style Mum’ together.
